My best friend and I always talk about taking photos and being popular on Instagram. We love fashion and all of that but lack the funds of being #instafamous. So, with a few makeup palettes and looking through the depths of our closets we decided to do a little photo shoot and act like models. I'm actually really happy with how the photos came out and honestly can say I felt like those girls that we all see on our feed (you know which one's I'm talking about).
I hate to be the person that says that girls should wear makeup. Girls and guys alike can do whatever the hell they want because why not! But honestly, wearing makeup and putting on a cute outfit makes me happy. I don't put on makeup for other people, I put it on for myself. I'm not trying to be superficial or try and impress the other students in my classes or customers at work because I know I can go a day without putting on my foundation and making my eyes pop with my signature cat eye.
So today, when I got all dolled up with my best friend, it was for fun! Simple, pure fun. Kind of like playing dress up as a kid, except we didn't look like disheveled princesses. Bottom line: if you're thinking of spicing up your Instagram account by getting all fancy and taking a few selfies (or having a friend take pictures for you) do it! If it makes you feel good, there's no harm with a little modeling fun.
